GREATER Western Sydney forward Rhys Palmer’s career has stalled on 100 games, with the Giant ruled out of action for up to six weeks with a shoulder injury.

Palmer suffered the injury in the final quarter of the Giants’ record-breaking 66-point win over Gold Coast at StarTrack Oval in Canberra on ANZAC Day.

The West Australian collided with Suns midfielder Dion Prestia and damaged the Sternoclavicular (SC) joint in his right shoulder.

Thankfully for GWS, Palmer won’t require surgery but he will miss six games, starting with Saturday night’s clash with West Coast in Perth.

Meanwhile, towering forward Jon Patton has been cleared to resume full training after working his way back from a second knee reconstruction.

No date has been set for his playing return, but the Giants are hopeful of getting the former No.1 draft pick back onto the field in the next month.
