ESSENDON will challenge defender Mark Baguley's suspension at the Tribunal on Tuesday night after he was hit with a one-match ban by the Match Review Panel.

Baguley was charged with striking St Kilda teenager Jack Lonie after an AFL investigation deemed he struck the half-forward high.

Vision was inconclusive and appeared to show Baguley striking Lonie on the arm in the second quarter of the Saints' 110-point win over the Bombers on Sunday.

Baguley's strike was deemed to be a two-match sanction, with the incident classified as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.
