OUT OF favour Port Adelaide ruckman Matthew Lobbe's season is in the balance, with the big man set for scans to a knee injury suffered in the SANFL.
He hurt his knee in the second quarter of the Port Adelaide Magpies 63-point loss to Sturt, and coach Chad Cornes said later the injury was "obviously fairly serious".
Lobbe, 27, was dropped by the Power after the loss to Geelong a week earlier.
Richmond will enter Friday night's clash against triple reigning premier Hawthorn minus captain Trent Cotchin and fellow midfielder Kane Lambert.
Cotchin will have surgery on Monday after it was revealed he suffered a fractured cheekbone in the opening minutes of the game against Port Adelaide.

Despite the injury, the Tigers' skipper played out the game and finished with 19 disposals.
Lambert, meanwhile, will been sidelined for between four and six weeks due to the punctured lung and cracked rib he injured when Brad Ebert's knee struck him in a first-quarter marking contest.
Carlton's No.1 draft selection Jacob Weitering left the field with a partial dislocation of his right shoulder in the second term against Essendon.
Blues coach Brendon Bolton said the 18-year-old backman would be monitored during the week, with the club hopeful of him taking on Collingwood on Saturday.
For the Magpies, backman Tom Langdon injured his right ankle in a third-quarter collision with West Coast's Mark Hutchings, and took no further part in the game.
GWS midfielder Ryan Griffen will miss an extended period after being a late withdrawal prior to the Giants' win over Hawthorn on Saturday with a back complaint.
Giants coach Leon Cameron confirmed post-match that Griffen's back complaint was worse than originally thought, ruling him out for four to six weeks.
Hawthorn defender James Frawley was concussed after his head collided into teammate Ben Stratton's forearm/bicep in the latter part of the third term against the Giants.
The 27-year-old will have the standard concussion tests over the course of the week before a decision is made on whether he will be fit to take on the Tigers.
Gold Coast's already decimated backline could be compounded by the loss of defender Trent McKenzie for a lengthy period.
The 24-year-old rolled his left ankle early in the second quarter against Geelong on Saturday night.
McKenzie had his ankle re-strapped and received an injection directly into the affected area, but did not return to the field.
After the match, Suns coach Rodney Eade said McKenzie would "miss a few weeks, at least", with an exact diagnosis to be known following the results of scans.

- North Melbourne livewire Kayne Turner suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter against the Western Bulldogs. The 20-year-old will have scans to determine the extent of the damage.
- Melbourne defender Christian Salem suffered a bout of concussion after being involved in a head clash with teammate Jack Viney in the final stages of the third term against St Kilda.
- Suns tall Sam Day hurt a disc in his back during a marking contest in the second term against the Cats, which caused weakness in the defender's leg.
- Sydney Swans ruckman Callum Sinclair went down with an apparent left knee injury in the final minutes of the match against the Brisbane Lions.
- Essendon's Mathew Stokes played out the match against the Blues with a hamstring injury he sustained in the first quarter.
