AN ANKLE injury will force Collingwood defender Tom Langdon to miss the clash against Carlton at the MCG on Saturday.

Langdon was forced from the ground in the third quarter against the Eagles after being tackled, and has been diagnosed with a syndemosis injury, more commonly known as a high ankle sprain.

Magpies' football manager Neil Balme told collingwoodfc.com.au Langdon would definitely be unavailable for round seven and could miss more than one game.

"He's not too bad but he is pretty sore," Balme said.

Ben Sinclair is also doubtful after receiving another knock to his head in Sunday's game.

It was the 24-year-old's first game back after missing Anzac Day due to concussion.

Midfielder Taylor Adams is also in doubt after being a late withdrawal from the West Coast game due to a knee injury.

"He is not coming on quite as quickly as we'd like. He may be able to play this week [but] he would have to train well and get through a couple of tests," Balme said.

Travis Varcoe will also undergo a test on his injured hamstring but is doubtful, while skipper Scott Pendlebury passed a fitness test on Sunday and played against West Coast.
