PORT Adelaide forward Jake Neade has signed a new two-year contract, ensuring he will stay at Port Adelaide until at least the end of 2018.

Neade, who was due to fall out of contract at the end of the season, has become an important part of the Power's forward set-up, combining with Jarman Impey and Chad Wingard to form a dangerous fleet of small forwards.

The 22-year-old's pressure is the staple of Neade's game, while he has booted 12 goals from 13 games this season.

Neade, who is originally from Elliott, a remote area in the Northern Territory, said he could not imagine playing his footy anywhere else.

"It's a very proud moment for me," Neade said.

"I'm really looking forward to attacking the second half of this year and it’s great to know my future is here too."

Neade has played 47 games since making his debut in round one, 2013.

Neade follows Aaron Young and Matt White in committing to the Power in recent weeks. Both Young and White will remain at Port until the end of 2017.
