- Luke Hodge to return after six weeks out with knee injury
- Suns name Mitch Hallahan for his first game this year

- Stevie J, Shane Mumford, Rhys Palmer return for the Giants

GOLD Coast has named Mitch Hallahan to play his first game of the season against former club Hawthorn on Sunday at Aurora Stadium.

Hallahan has recovered from the broken foot he suffered in a NEAFL practice match back in March. He played six matches with the Hawks in 2014 before being traded to the Suns, and played 12 matches for Gold Coast in 2015.

Hallahan is one of three changes for the Suns. Midfielder Aaron Hall has earned a recall after being sent back to the NEAFL to work on his game and Jarrad Grant has also been included.

Kade Kolodjashnij (concussion), Sean Lemmens (hamstring) and Jesse Lonergan (illness) are all out through injury.

Adam Saad was named in the Suns' 22 on Thursday but was withdrawn on Friday due to hamstring tightness.

Hawks captain Luke Hodge has been named to return after missing six weeks with a knee injury.

Hodge has appeared in just four games this season after suffering a broken arm in round one, with the club confirming he will play against the Suns.

Defender Kaiden Brand has also been named for his fourth game of the season.

Star forward Cyril Rioli has returned to the Northern Territory to attend a family funeral while Kade Stewart misses out.

The Brisbane Lions have made five changes for their clash against Richmond on Saturday, with star midfielder Dayne Zorko set to miss for personal reasons.

Coach Justin Leppitsch has admitted his players are tired and made two unforced changes, dropping Claye Beams and Marco Paparone, with Ryan Harwood (knee) and Tom Cutler (hamstring) injured.

The under-siege Lions, who are 1-12 and only percentage off the bottom of the ladder, are staring at their 10th straight defeat if they can't cause an upset against Richmond.

The Tigers have made two forced changes, with young half-back Corey Ellis ruled out with a groin injury and Daniel Rioli taking leave to attend a family funeral.

Defender Nick Vlastuin returns after recovering from concussion, while half-back Connor Menadue has been called on for his first senior game since round nine.

Fremantle has made one change for Friday night's clash against Collingwood at the MCG, with Jack Hannath replacing injured key position player Tanner Smith (hamstring).

As forecast by coach Nathan Buckley, Collingwood has selected Travis Cloke, James Aish and Nathan Brown, with Jack Frost (omitted), Jarrod Witts (omitted) and Ben Crocker (knee) making way.

Greater Western Sydney will be strengthened by the return of ruckman Shane Mumford and veteran forward Steve Johnson for its clash against Carlton at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

The Giants have also recalled forward Rhys Palmer after his 52-possession game in the NEAFL, with midfielder Jacob Hopper (managed), ruckman Tom Downie and rookie Sam Reid (both omitted) making way.

Carlton, meanwhile, has lost ruckman Daniel Gorringe (hip) and Dennis Armfield (groin), with Andrew Phillips and Jason Tutt brought in to replace the pair.

St Kilda's forward line will be bolstered for Saturday night's clash against Geelong at Etihad Stadium, with captain Nick Riewoldt and young goalkicker Paddy McCartin both named.

They replace injured tall Tom Lee (knee) and Lewis Pierce, who has been dropped.

For the Cats, midfielder Cam Guthrie will replace injured onballer Josh Caddy (knee) in the ladder leaders' only change.
