GOLD Coast's depleted midfield has taken yet another hit, with Aaron Hall to miss three games with a hamstring injury.

Hall suffered the injury at Thursday's main training session.

The Suns are already missing captain Gary Ablett, Michael Rischitelli and Dion Prestia – who all require season-ending surgery – along with Jaeger O'Meara and David Swallow who haven't played a senior game this season.

All up that's the club's six best midfielders out of Saturday's clash against Fremantle at Metricon Stadium.

Youngsters Touk Miller and Jesse Lonergan will have to carry the midfield load, with help from Jack Martin, Matt Rosa and Callum Ah Chee.

"It's a bit unfortunate with our best six midfielders now out, so it puts a lot of onus on the inexperienced guys we've got there," coach Rodney Eade said.

"But one thing about the group they've shown a lot of spirit and players that have come in have really grabbed their opportunities so hopefully we can do that again."
