ADELAIDE half-back flanker Bryce Gibbs is in doubt for Saturday night's Showdown against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

Gibbs missed the Crows' main training session at Football Park on Thursday morning with back spasms.

The 30-year-old has struggled with back soreness for the past couple of weeks, but returned to the side for last Sunday's 17-point win against Fremantle, amassing 13 disposals.

Gibbs was dropped after the Crows' round three loss to Geelong.

He spent one week in the SANFL before being moved from the midfield to half-back in the round five win against Gold Coast.

Gibbs missed the following week's win against St Kilda with illness.
