ADELAIDE defender Tom Doedee looks almost certain to miss Saturday night's crucial encounter with Melbourne at Adelaide Oval, while winger Rory Atkins could also be in doubt.

Doedee was restricted to walking laps as the Crows completed their main training session on Wednesday afternoon.

The 21-year-old suffered a concussion in last Saturday night's five-point win against Brisbane at the Gabba.

Doedee has had an outstanding debut season, playing every game and becoming one of the leading contenders for the NAB AFL Rising Star award.

If he is ruled out, Jake Kelly is likely to move back to defence after spending more time on the wing in recent weeks.

The Crows could also throw tall forward Mitch McGovern into defence as a third tall alongside key defenders Daniel Talia and Alex Keath.

Atkins completed run-throughs and some light kicking drills away from the main group, alongside veteran Richard Douglas, who will miss at least another week with an ankle injury.

In positive news, vice-captain Rory Sloane took part in the main session after having his foot stood on in the win over the Lions.

Small forward Lachlan Murphy also appears to be fine, training with the main group after he was concussed against the Lions.
