PORT Adelaide trio Steven Motlop, Chad Wingard and Jared Polec have hamstring injuries, but all three should play some part in the JLT Community Series.

Motlop and Wingard have been penciled in for the Power's opening game against West Coast in Leederville Oval on February 25.

However, Polec will miss up to three weeks and is aiming to play against cross-town rivals Adelaide at Alberton Oval on March 10.

The Power are confident he will be ready in time for round one against Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on March 24.

It's a minor blow for Motlop after the former Geelong speedster joined the Power on a four-year deal as a free agent at the end of last season.

Wingard represented Australia in the Virgin Australia International Rules Series last year and had an impressive season making the switch to the midfield.

Speaking at Port Adelaide's annual general meeting on Friday night, Power coach Ken Hinkley told supporters that Wingard and Motlop had minor injuries.

"We have Wingard with a little bit of a hamstring, but he'll play JLT one, no worries," Hinkley said.

"Motlop is the same."

However, defender Matthew Broadbent could miss the first two months of the season after still being troubled by an ankle injury.

Broadbent will be assessed in three weeks and won't play any of the JLT Community Series.

"He's got some troubles with his ankle," Hinkley said.

"It's going to take a bit of management.

"We've got great faith in him that he'll come back and play a significant part in the season, perhaps after the first month or two."

In better news, the Power will consider rolling out gun forward Robbie Gray for the inaugural AFLX tournament at Adelaide's Hindmarsh Stadium on February 15.

Gray will miss the Power's internal trial next weekend to attend a wedding, so will be fresh for the seven-a-side games played in two, 10-minute halves.

Clubs are allowed to have squads of 14 for the AFLX tournaments, with 10 players involved in each game.

Three-time Power best and fairest Gray has returned to full training after having chemotherapy for testicular cancer in October.
