- Magpies dump Jesse White, with Darcy Moore to lead forward line
- Jonathan Giles to make Essendon debut; Shaun McKernan dropped

- Hawthorn loads up with stars, omitting two despite massive win

COLLINGWOOD has finally lost patience with out-of-form forward Jesse White, dumping him from Saturday's team despite the continuing absence of Travis Cloke.

White won't face Melbourne at the MCG as Cloke continues to miss with a calf, meaning the bulk of the forward line responsibility will fall to first-year player Darcy Moore.

Moore kicked five goals in his third AFL game last week.

He will be joined in the Pies' attacking half by Jamie Elliott, who is back after missing two games.

Taylor Adams will give the Pies' midfield added grunt after serving a two-match suspension, while Paul Seedsman has been named after being withdrawn late last week.

Jarryd Blair and Ben Kennedy join White as the Pies' omissions, while Adam Oxley has been rested.

Meanwhile, Melbourne coach Paul Roos has resisted the temptation to act harshly at the selection table after the  loss to St Kilda last week, with just Billy Stretch dropped.

Alex Neal-Bullen has been called up as his replacement after one week in the VFL.

Despite thrashing Carlton by 138 points last Friday night, Hawthorn has dropped two for Friday night's encounter with Richmond at the MCG.

Angus Litherland and Jonathan O'Rourke have missed the cut, and Matt Suckling and Matt Spangher are out with hamstring issues, while the Hawks have added three premiership players and a key defender.

James Frawley is back after a month out, Liam Shiels returns after missing one week with a quad, as does Ben Stratton, who had an ankle issue, and Taylor Duryea is also back after two games out with a shoulder.

The Tigers have lost big men Shaun Hampson (ankle) and Ben Griffiths (finger), but have regained Ty Vickery from a two-week suspension.

Midfielder Reece Conca is in for his first game for the season after a frustrating run with hamstring issues.

After weeks of speculation, Essendon coach James Hird has finally brought in forgotten ruckman Jonathan Giles for his Bombers debut.

Giles, who has been on the cusp of the team for weeks, has been picked in the squad to face the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, along with Jake Carlisle, Jake Melksham and Adam Cooney.

With Shaun McKernan the Bombers' only omission at this stage, the former GWS big man seems certain to play.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have named forward Tom Boyd in their squaddespite a goalless game in the VFL last Saturday, as well as Lin Jong and Sam Darley with no outs yet.

Nakia Cockatoo is Geelong's only inclusion for Saturday's clash with the Brisbane Lions at Simonds Stadium, despite Mathew Stokes' commanding VFL performance last week.

Stokes collected 32 touches after being dumped from the senior team but has been overlooked in favour of the first-year midfielder.

Youngster Cory Gregson is being managed after a quiet game last week against the Giants and will miss.

The Lions will be strengthened by the return of Dayne Beams and Pearce Hanley, while key position player Jonathan Freeman is in for his first game of the year after three in the NEAFL.

They have lost young midfielder James Aish to a season-ending finger tendon injury and omitted Brent Staker and Hugh Beasley.

Adam Goodes is the known and notable out for the Sydney Swans' Saturday clash with Adelaide, with the two-time Brownlow medallist on personal leave.

The Swans have also lost ruckman Mike Pyke again to his problematic knee concern and omitted Xavier Richards and Zak Jones.

Key pillars Lance Franklin, Kurt Tippett and Ted Richards have all been named for the SCG match, while Ben McGlynn is back for his first AFL game since round nine.

The Crows have regained key defender Daniel Talia from concussion and called up Jarryd Lyons, while Sam Shaw and Rory Atkins have been omitted.

North Melbourne hasn't tinkered with team that easily dispatched of the Lions last week, with an unchanged line up to face Carlton on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.

But the Blues have made four changes after their huge loss to the Hawks with Liam Jones, Brad Walsh and Blaine Johnson dumped, and Nick Holman is suspended.

They've welcomed back Andrew Carrazzo from a foot injury and Troy Menzel after being a late withdrawal last week. They've also named ruckman Cameron Wood after two weeks out and Clem Smith for his fourth AFL game.

Gold Coast has lost some leadership with Gary Ablett out with his season-ending knee injury and Michael Rischitelli to miss Saturday night's clash with West Coast at Metricon Stadium for personal reasons.

Jarrod Harbrow heads the Suns' inclusions, along with Adam Saad, Tom Nicholls, and Jack Martin for his first AFL game since round nine.

Alex Sexton is out with a knee problem and ruckman Zac Smith has been omitted.

The Eagles have named Will Schofield despite the defender being subbed out at three-quarter time last week with a calf issue. They'll travel to the Gold Coast with an unchanged line up from last week's win over the Swans.

Port Adelaide has named Jasper Pittard to return from an ankle injury for Sunday's clash with St Kilda at Adelaide Oval.

In their extended squad the Power have also picked Sam Gray after 31 possessions in the SANFL and Tom Jonas after his return for the Magpies last week following a quad injury.

The Saints' squad has taken a hit with Nick Riewoldt (calf) and Jack Lonie (rested) out, and Sam Gilbert to miss with a thigh/groin issue.

They've named David Armitage despite the midfielder missing training on Thursday after a kick in the shin last Sunday, and added six players to their squad.

Tim Membrey, Cam Shenton, Seb Ross, Tom Hickey, Nathan Wright and Daniel McKenzie have all been named as possibilities to face the Power.

Nat Fyfe heads the outs for Fremantle with the Brownlow Medal fancy to miss as the Dockers host Greater Western Sydney at Domain Stadium on Sunday.

Fyfe is out with a groin, while Matt Taberner and Clancee Pearce, who partially dislocated his shoulder last week against Richmond, have been omitted.

Zac Dawson has been named for his first game of the season after two in the WAFL while Tendai Mzungu is also in the squad up along with Zac Clarke when the final team is picked.

Youngsters Ed Langdon, Connor Blakely and Lachie Weller have also been selected in the squad for their potential AFL debuts.

Meanwhile, the Giants have been forced to make at least three changes and have given themselves six options.

Nick Haynes (groin), Devon Smith (knee) and Zac Williams (hamstring) are out, but co-captain Phil Davis is a surprising inclusion after six weeks out with an ankle.

They've also added Nathan Wilson, Andrew Phillips, James Stewart, Matt Buntine and Will Hoskin-Elliot to their squad.
