BROWNLOW medallist Nat Fyfe eased his way back into pre-season training on Tuesday doing some light running and kicking at a relaxed session at Fremantle Oval.

The full squad returned to the track this week after the Dockers' first to fourth-year players returned to training last week.

The players took part in a segregated session with the squad split into three groups rotating between an indoor stretching session, the gym and some light stationary skills work.

Skipper Matthew Pavlich, reigning best and fairest Aaron Sandilands and veteran midfielder David Mundy were all part of the rotation.

While most of the squad did not do any running on Tuesday, a number of players in the rehab group, including Fyfe, did some jogging.

Fyfe is working his way back from a lower leg fracture that he suffered in the preliminary final. He had surgery the day after winning the Brownlow Medal, with a plate inserted to help heal his fractured fibula.

He did some easy paced running and kicking with new draftee Harley Balic, who was unable to mark any balls as he continues his recovery from surgery on his left wrist in August.

Clancee Pearce, Cam Sutcliffe and Brady Grey did some solid running and agility work.

Michael Apeness and mature-age draftee Shane Yarran did some light running that was filmed by the Dockers' sports science staff. Both men are rehabbing knee issues.

Yarran suffered a knee injury in the WAFL Grand Final when he kicked five goals in Subiaco's premiership win.

Apeness is still running with a limp as he continues to rehab the posterior cruciate injury he suffered early last season.
