PORT Adelaide's injury woes have compounded, with winger Jared Polec in doubt for Saturday's crucial encounter against Collingwood with a hamstring injury.

Polec had scans on his right hamstring on Monday after he pulled up sore following the Saturday's four-point loss to West Coast at Adelaide Oval.

It's understood to be precautionary given Polec's injury history and the Power are confident he will make the trip to Melbourne to take on the Magpies.

Polec had 24 disposals (10 contested) against the Eagles and was able to finish the game.

The 25-year-old is in career-best form and his outside run and ball use will be important on the wider surrounds of the MCG.

Polec is also weighing up his future, with North Melbourne reportedly tabling a five-year offer worth $3.5 million.

The Power are already without key forward Charlie Dixon, who went into surgery to repair a fractured fibula that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Ruckman Paddy Ryder (hip flexor) and defender Dan Houston (concussion) will be assessed this week.
